About Us

Lund AI Society is a nonprofit at Lund University. We give some of Sweden's strongest engineers hands-on work with AI, and connect them with the researchers and companies shaping the field.

What we do

We run three programs.

Events put Lund's technical students in the same room as founders, companies, and investors. Hackathons, fireside chats, co-founder matchmaking, national competitions. Our two first hackathons drew over 300 applicants, with partners like Anthropic, Florent Venture Partners, Microsoft, and several Y Combinator-backed startups.

Our Fellowship Track puts ten students on a semester-long project for a nonprofit with a problem software can solve. Fine-tuning a model, rescuing years of records from spreadsheets, building a tool that gets used. Open source from the first commit.

Our Research Track pairs students with LTH researchers to co-author papers in AI and machine learning. Students get published. Researchers get committed contributors.

Who we are

We're a small team of LTH students who believe strong technical skills should be used for human good. We all have global ambitions. So far, our founding members have gone on to companies such as Palantir and founded startups backed by Lovable.

If you are a student in Lund who wants to do real work, a researcher with open problems, or an organization that needs engineers, we want to hear from you.
